Food Preparation Boards

For well over 20 years ABG have manufactured the "Harriesboard" range of food preparation boards. Manufactured from High-Density Polyethylene these boards are so dense that liquids cannot penetrate them and therefore cannot harbour food poisons (non-absorbent). This material is also non-toxic and so if ingested it will not poison the recipient.

Dense enough to withstand the use of very sharp kitchen knives and yet not so hard as to damage their edges although the boards will mark / score with normal use but not break up under heavy commercial use for the normal life of this product. Obviously this will vary dependant on what product is being prepared.

The range of boards are colour coded to differentiate between different foods ie raw meat, cooked meat, raw fish, fruit & salad, vegetables and dairy products. This helps avoid cross contamination, with the colour pigments in the ABG "Harries Boards" food safe as well.

Harries Boards are available in five standard sizes, three thicknesses and six colours but can also be made to customer sizes and specifications . We can also supply them as butcher blocks and table tops and with rolling pins and paddles available in the same material.

Racks are also available for holding boards after cleaning as they keep each board separate preventing contamination / cross contamination of surfaces.
