ABG Rubber & Plastics Ltd, History
We had a modest beginning in the mid-seventies with branches in Kings Langley and then Aylesbury, where the main sales focus was on the conversion of Rubber components and materials.
In the early eighties ABG occupied the first of their Brackmills, Northampton sites. This saw the Plastics side of the business developing quickly with CNC machining seen to be the future.
The late eighties saw the company move to a larger site on Brackmills, Northampton with the Aylesbury site finally closing down. Business grew strongly through the next decade with the continued investment in the CNC machining business and the development of the Food Cutting Board ‘HarriesBoard’ Range.
The Oadby Plastics Group saw the potential in ABG and acquired the company in 1998, this encouraged a broadening of the customer base along with further investments in the latest CNC machining technologies.
The company moved into their third Brackmills, Northampton site in 2007 to allow for further growth, the company has a wealth of staff experience and engineering skills. This all contributes along with the material support from the Group to continued year on year growth for the business.
We’re all now very much looking forward to our next chapter.
